A small group of us gathered in our nearly finished home to ring in the new year. Just before midnight, I invited anyone who wished to share their reflections on 2024 and their hopes for 2025. I’m proud to reflect on an incredible milestone: I performed over 50 shows in 2024, the most I've ever done as a solo artist. This achievement came amidst significant challenges— family health issues, work-related stresses, an election result that didn’t align with my, personal, values, and two major relocations, including one halfway across the country and another into a fixer-upper that’s nearing completion, just to name a few.
Despite these hurdles, 2024 has not been a year of hardship. On the contrary, it’s been a year of growth and connection. I’ve made lifelong friends, reconnected with cherished family and friends, welcomed a new furry family member into my life, and poured my heart into the music scene. As I look ahead to 2025, I am excited about the new roots I’ve planted and the opportunities to further connect with those around me.
During our toast to 2024, we all agreed on one thing: the value of Human Interaction (HI) far exceeds that of AI. I am committed to providing more musical experiences in the coming year to foster these connections. Wishing you all a Happy New Year filled with love, growth, and meaningful moments.
